Grammy-winning, bluegrass pioneers Nickel Creek make a rare live appearance, performing at the spectacular Union Chapel.

The platinum-selling, internationally renowned trio who revolutionized folk and roots music return to London on Friday 27 January 2023 for the first time in nearly two decades.

Made up of mandolinist Chris Thile, violinist Sara Watkins and guitarist Sean Watkins.

The Nickel Creek trio, who have been playing together since they were children, became a word-of-mouth sensation on the progressive bluegrass scene.

Signing to acclaimed roots label Sugar Hill Recordings and finding their appeal spreading beyond the genre’s core audience, they went on to produce self-titled 2000 debut, and the 2002 follow-up This Side, which garnered a Best Contemporary Folk Album Grammy.

2014’s critically acclaimed and joyously received A Dotted Line, kept the flame alive and they now return to the stage for what is set to be a sell-out show.

Support comes from Catalonian multi-instrumentalist Lau Noah for this show.

Touring next month, Chris Thile and fellow Nonesuch artist Sam Amidon, play a number of venues across the UK. His London show at Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank is now sold out but tickets still remain for Manchester, Bristol, Coventry and more which you can book here.
