Kansas Smitty's House Band
Before you head to the show, why not try your own Smitty's Julep - a special recipe straight from Kansas Smitty's own Hoxton bar:
Ingredients
50ml bourbon.
10ml sugar syrup
5/7 mint leaves (clapped)
Mint sprig to garnish
Bucket of crushed ice.
To serve
Pour 50ml of bourbon into julep tin (a hi-ball glass will suffice) and add 5 'clapped' mint leaves (clapped to bring out the aromatics). Fill with crushed ice, churn to optimum dilution, fill the balance with more crushed ice and garnish with a mint sprig.
