Aileen Campbell is a visual artist who makes voiceworks. Her intimate understanding of the structure of music is explored, referred to and adopted in her approach as a visual artist. Through performance and video, Campbell constructs situations which question historical perceptions of the voice. Aileen is a member of Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra and has recorded with experimental artists such as the MacDonald/Burt Quartet. Her recent live solo appearances include ICA – London; Crazy Space - Los Angeles; and Transmission Gallery – Glasgow.
