Chilly Gonzales the über entertainer is as well known for his intimate approach to the piano through his Solo Piano album trilogy as for his undeniable talents as a performer, distilling his showman's energy throughout the philharmonic halls of Europe.

He has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Feist, Drake, Jarvis Cocker and Daft Punk, and the anthemic power of his track ‘Smothered Mate’ (from Ivory Tower) made it the soundtrack to the victories of French national soccer team Les Bleus; in 2018, when the French team won the World Cup in Russia, a billion people around the world shared in the jubilation of the players receiving medals and presidential kisses in the pouring rain, punctuated by Gonzo's powerful composition.

Today, after several years of intense preparation consisting in feeding himself exclusively with camembert and French literature, and while waiting to be elected to his seat at the illustrious Académie Française, he announces French Kiss. This is Chilly Gonzales' first album written and performed in the language of Molière and Bangalter. The eponymous track that opens the album serves as a program: no need to master the devious specifics of French grammar to make love to France. And what could be better than the acerbic line of Fabcaro, brilliant comic book author, novelist and current Asterisk feature-film scriptwriter, to illustrate the cover of this album in the form of a declaration of love?

Opening the evening is French art-pop singer-songwriter, musician and producer, Norma. Freshly returned from her "Great Travelling Show" (a DIY tour across France and California playing in people’s living rooms, she is currently touring with Chilly Gonzales as she gets ready to release her new song 'Music Is My Husband' along with a mini-musical she directed for it. It follows her sophomore self-produced album, HELL.O.V.E., released last may on her own label.

Don't miss Chilly Gonzales' first UK performance of French Kiss this September.
