Nils Fischer

saxophone/clarinet

Nils Fischer is saxophonist and bass clarinettist who moves in different styles of jazz. He studied saxophone with Andreas Krennerich at the Music School Germersheim and in 2008, he moved to Lucerne where Urs Leimgruber , John Voirol , Reto Suhner and Frank Möbus left important marks in his musical education – achieving his Master of Music Pedagogy in February 2015. His band The Great Harry Hillman first convened in 2009 and continues to develop and won the ZKB - Jazz Prize from Moods in Zurich in 2015. As a sideman, he is featured in Laurent Méteau’s Metabolism, Marena Whitcher's Shady Midnight Orchestra, Lukas Brügger Jazz Orchestra , Blaer and Raphael Jost and lots of horns, among others
