George Crowley

tenor saxophone and clarinet, London

A performer who is equally adept at both saxophone and clarinet, George Crowley is instantly recognisable by his expressively direct tone and infectious improvisations. His compositions draw on influences as diverse as electronic music, West African traditional music and contemporary prose. He is also the promoter of a regular series at London’s premiere ‘underground’ club, the Con Cellar Bar as well as a weekly gig at The Oxford in Kentish Town.
