BBC Young Jazz Musician 2018 Finalists Announced

BBC Young Jazz Musician Final 2018 | Saturday 24 November | LONDON Queen Elizabeth Hall

The five finalists for this year's BBC Young Musician award have been announced:

Xhosa Cole (saxophone)

Reuben Goldmark (piano)

Fergus McCreadie (piano)

James Owston (bass)

Seth Tackaberry (bass)

Each finalist will perform at least one self-arranged piece accompanied by top jazz musicians pianist Gwilym Simcock, bassist Paula Gardiner and drummer Asaf Sirkis.

The event will be hosted by Josie d'Arby and saxophonist and composer YolanDa Brown, and judged by pianist Monty Alexander, composer and pianist Zoe Rahman, bassist and founding member of Jazz Warriors Gary Crosby and vocalist Zara McFarlane.
