The strong list of nominations for this year's Jazz FM Awards has been announced. With nominations for Snarky Puppy and Maria Schneider, the Jazz FM team obviously share the same great taste as the Grammys committee!
It's fantastic to see so much young British talent sitting alongside international artists. Take Five artists Eska, Lauren Kinsella, Moses Boyd (of Binker & Moses), Shabaka Hutchings and Tom Skinner (of Sons of Kemet), and Zoe Rahman are among the British artists nominated.
The ceremony on Tuesday 26 April will feature a performance by Jazz Impact Award winner Gregory Porter, who headlines Gateshead International Jazz Festival earlier in the month. Gregory is in good company at the festival with Jazz FM Award nominees Liane Carroll and Zoe Rahman also on the bill.
