Imelda May and Lisa O'Neill join Imagining Ireland at Barbican
15th Jan 2020
We're pleased to confirm Oliver Coates will be opening for Taraf de Haïdouks at Union Chapel (Monday 16 February) and Norfolk & Norwich Festival (Sunday 17 May). These short performances are a response to the glory of Taraf’s wild gypsy music as featured on their new album Of Lovers, Gamblers and Parachute Skirts, out on Crammed Discs.
At the end of last year, Oliver excited audiences in New York and Hong Kong with debuts of music for cello and electronics. He produces electronic music alongside a concert life performing solo Bach to Morton Feldman and Mica Levi and is a cellist and associate artist at the Southbank Centre.
