Volunteers wanted

The EFG London Jazz Festival is seeking volunteers to work with us on the delivery of this year’s Festival. We are London’s biggest city-wide music festival and bring together established stars and emerging talent, reflecting the traditions of jazz and illustrating its breadth and depth. Our programme is made up of premieres, commissions, one-off collaborations, talks, family events, workshops and a fantastic Jazz for Free series. There are over 250 concerts in over 50 venues taking the Festival to venues right across London.

The role
We are seeking volunteers to work with us on the delivery of the Festival, which this year runs from Wednesday 13 – Sunday 24 November 2013. Ideally we would like volunteers be available for as much of that period as possible and a minimum of four days – they don’t need to be consecutive but they do need to be full days.

There are opportunities to volunteer in these three separate areas of the Festival:

Communications – To assist the communications team with the Festival information stands, guest lists and press liaison.

Production – To assist the production team with backstage catering and airport meet and greets as well as provide general running support.

Development – To support the development team in delivering sponsor and supporter receptions and branding across the Festival.

If you have great face-to-face and verbal communication skills, enjoy being in a busy creative environment and would like to volunteer please email Amy Pearce, Associate Director and Holly Goodfellow – Production on [email protected] with a CV and a short covering letter illustrating:

1/ why you would like to volunteer
2/ what skills you could bring to the Festival
3/ what days within the Festival you would be able to work
4/ which, if any, specific area of work you are interested in
