Since forming Steve Taylor Big Band Explosion in 2006, renowned UK Drummer STEVE TAYLOR and his 16 piece Big Band Explosion have performed at prestigious venues such as London's legendary Ronnie Scott's Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho, 606 club. Been featured & interviewed on BBC Radio 2 by Clare Teal, Jazz FM & BBC London. Backed the likes of BBC Jazz award winner/vocalist Ian Shaw, & soul stars Omar (mbe) & Mica Paris. Thrilled audiences at EFG London Jazz Festival. Released 3 albums. Steve Taylor was the first drummer to tribute legendary Buddy Rich at Ronnie Scott's in “To Buddy Rich & Beyond”

Featuring the sublime vocals of Josie Frater & guitarist/vocalist Rosie Frater-Taylor with a dazzling array of star musicians in the hottest horn & rhythm sections anywhere.

Steve composes originals and writes arrangements of brand new music, including takes on artists such as Gil Scott Heron, Beady Belle, Zero 7, Koop and Dianne Reeves. While also bringing to life incredible masterpieces such as iconic 'West Side Story Medley' (Buddy Rich), 'Caravan' (Whiplash film / Ellington) that all leave audiences in awe!
