South African vocal powerhouse Ladysmith Black Mambazo return for a show stopping performance after selling out four London shows.
Since they shot to global stardom on Paul Simon's Graceland album, Mambazo have been recognised as one of the world's great vocal groups.
Mambazo sing powerful uplifting songs - Nelson Mandela called them "South Africa's cultural ambassadors"
Truly great singing, balancing soulful ballads and traditional dance songs with exquisite and perfectly timed harmony work.
Opening for Ladysmith Black Mambazo at their Barbican show on Sunday 18 June will be folk singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Angeline Morrison, whose 2022 album The Sorrow Songs : Folk Songs of Black British Experience was voted No.1 Folk Album of the year by The Guardian. Angeline explores traditional song with a deep reverence, love and curiosity, a handmade sonic aesthetic and a feeling for the stories of ordinary human lives.

It’s not just their sound but their look and their athleticism. They bounded on, promising an evening of “peace, love and harmony” from South Africa to the world and surely no one failed to pick up the joyous vibes as they sang and joshed with one another, and the audience.
