The EFG London Festival is delighted to celebrate Jan Garbarek's 75th birthday in this, our 30th year.

With a career spanning over 50 years, the legendary Norwegian saxophonist epitomises the sound of ECM, the record label he's called home since the early 70s.

Garbarek’s technical mastery brings a bright sharp focus to his music and carries audiences away with his extraordinary sound. He has collaborated with a huge array of musicians from around the world including Keith Jarrett and Zakir Hussain.

Of his musical journey he says: 'It never really stands still. Not at any point in time can you say, ‘Now I reached something’.
