Higher Ground Festival 2023

Sat 15 July 2023

Stage time / 5:30pm

Location

Roundhouse,
Chalk Farm Road
NW1 8EH

Join us for Higher Ground, a festival celebrating an all-female line-up of singer-songwriters, genre defying acts and contemporary sounds. Expect impressive live performances from leading international names, DJ sets and more across the day and night at Roundhouse.

Headlining will be one of modern folk-pop’s most astonishing talents, The Staves, who mould their love of Americana and folk with breath-taking sibling harmony and melody. The Orielles perform their most ambitious work to date, Tableau (2022), with a live string section, bringing this new and modern brand of avant-garde, jazz-influenced expressionism to the Roundhouse. With a well-earned reputation at the vanguard of the British alternative soul movement and as one of the country’s most exciting live acts, Tawiah, presents her largest performance yet of poignant second album Ertha (2022) accompanied by a live choir. Plus, expect a haunting and partly-experimental blend of indie folk and lightly psychedelic pop from Irish singer-songwriter Aoife Nessa Frances. Don't miss DJ sets from the the stylishly soulful and experimentally boundless TYSON, as well as one of the most curious and respected selectors in the UK, Tina Edwards.
