Mercury-nominated jazz quartet Dinosaur are celebrating a decade of music-making as a band this year, with the release of their critically acclaimed 3rd album To The Earth released on Edition Records in May which they will finally present online as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival.
Their latest offering finds them in a more acoustic setting, presenting brand new material that reflects on 10 years of miraculous interplay, whilst maintaining the sonic elasticity of their previous, more 'plugged-in' albums Together As One and Wonder Trail. Playing the compositions of bandleader and multiple award-winning composer Laura Jurd, Dinosaur explore Laura's distinctive yet ever-evolving music with playful abandon and technical prowess, earning them a reputation as some of the most remarkable UK jazz musicians of their generation.
Laura Jurd - trumpet
Elliot Galvin - piano
Conor Chaplin - double bass
Corrie Dick – drums

‘At the vanguard of this new generation; a Hampshire native who has been composing since she could walk.’ (Evening Standard)
‘Beautifully played and effortlessly confident collage of contemporary styles.'
