Known for the purity of her sound, leading contemporary saxophonist Sue McKenzie has an impressive CV, having premiered many new works for saxophone and performing and recording internationally. She is the leader of the Scottish Saxophone Ensemble and Dark Grooves, is one half of the McKenzie Sawers Contemporary Music Duo, an active member of the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra and was the Assistant Director of the 16th World Saxophone Congress in 2012.
