Mercury Prize nominee and winner of two MOBO Awards, saxophonist and composer Soweto Kinch is 'an unusually powerful force as both a contemporary jazz musician and an unsanctimonious social commentator' (John Fordham, The Guardian). Kinch's 2010 release, The New Emancipation, reflects the theme of modern slavery using fluent sax lines, swinging trumpet and jangling guitar.
