Max de Wardener

Max de Wardener is an arch-experimentalist and explorer in the worlds of contemporary composition, instrument making, electronica and sonic art. His work can be heard in a variety of fields covering live performance, recorded music, sound design and film and television.

July 2011 saw the premiere of two pieces written specially for Indian violinist Kala Ramnath and twelve LSO string players.

De Wardener’s original soundtrack can be heard on Pawel Pawlikowski’s film The Woman in the Fifth, featuring Ethan Hawke and Kristen Scott Thomas and released in 2012.
