Susana Sheiman is back at "The Crazy Coqs - Live at Zedel" for the London Jazz Festival 2019! She is one of the most acclaimed jazz singers on the European scene. Born in Madrid where she had her musical training, she now lives in Barcelona. As a young girl, Susana would listen and learn from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Anita O'Day, Judy Garland, Kay Starr, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson and Rachelle Ferrell. These are the great ladies who inspired and helped her create what is now her very own personal style. Indeed, the sheer quality of her voice, the intensity of her expressiveness mean that, from blues to swing through ballads and bossa novas, Susana's performance is always a unique experience. It will be her second appearance in London, this time with the more intimate programme: "BY MYSELF". Just her voice, a double bass and the musical direction of Alain Guiu (ex accompanist for the late Charles Aznavour) from the piano. Not to be missed!
