Flying in from the USA to play at St John’s Smith Square, come Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi, two classically trained and outstanding stride, boogie and blues Pianists. They have justifiably built a worldwide reputation not not as brilliant musicians but also as superb entertainers. Audiences across the globe stand in awe of their musicianship and expertise. Following sold out concerts in the 2016 EFG London Jazz Festival; in the following years Steinway Two Pianos Festival and two more London concerts In 2018, this 2019 Festival concert comes with enthusiastic UK audiences’ demands for their return.
Playing on two pianos, audiences are guaranteed a close up view from every seat in the house via JBGB Events unique “KeyboardCam” which projects the musicians’ hands onto screens behind the pianos so everyone gets a perfect view. Playing on two pianos and also as four hands on one piano, Stephanie and Paolo’s concert will embrace not only music by piano masters including Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Walker, James P Johnson and Art Tatum among others, but also music from the great American Song Book Of Cole Porter and George Gershwin plus more recent works by Britain’s Jule Styne and Lennon & McCartney.
