In reaction to her work in Palestine, El Salvador and across Europe, Scottish double bass player Emma Smith looks at climate chaos, the current geopolitical car crash and the resulting increase in mass migration.

The result of a one year artist residency with Oxford Contemporary Music, Emma combines free improvising, electronics, loops and moving image to examine how trauma affects our sense of time and space, its physical affect on our central nervous system and the fundamental role of music in mitigating these affects and keeping us grounded.
