Preston-Glasgow-Lowe are comprised of three of London's most forward thinking instrumentalists. Their music reflects the fluid styles of contemporary post jazz/fusion, combining relentless polyrhythmic energy, harmonic dystopia and virtuosic improvisation

As part of a series of EFG London Jazz Festival concerts curated by Jazz pianist Sam Leak, and hosted by Oliver's Jazz Bar in Greenwich, David Preston, Kevin Glasgow, and Laurie Lowe will present their trio 'Preston - Glasgow - Lowe.' Their music is a combination of intricate and unique compositions, relentless polyrhythmic energy, harmonic dystopia, and virtuosic improvisations.

Performing music from their 2nd album, Something About Rainbows the 'young jazz heavyweights' (Time Out) draw influence from an expansive array of styles, whilst maintaining a focused, original sound. Writing and performing together since 2012, the London-based musicians have steadily honed their own unique style of complex rhythms, lyrical melodies and virtuosic improvisations. The project’s creative and developmental processes open up a panoply of textures and colours – from open, contemplative oases, to heavyweight, blistering maelstrom – all emanating from this close collaboration of just three musically-incisive minds. In a fertile environment which melds the ethos of jazz-rock fusion with enthusiastic invention, this is a trio whose combined experience and prowess is distilled into an intuitive and invigorating program. Their most recent album, 'Something About Rainbows,' has drawn rave reviews from the UK press.
