Mark Crooks & Chris Ingham Trio: Stan Getz - A Musical Portrait
LONDON The Other Palace Studio
From the late 1940s to the early 1990s, tenor saxophonist Stan Getz was one of the great, individual instrumental artists in Jazz. Getz was remarkably consistent, producing album after album of poetic swinging music across a wide range of styles, yet always current and up to date. His playing style was always unmistakable.
The Getz - Musical Portrait is performed by established favourites at The Other Palace Studio, led by Chris Ingham - piano; and with stylish quality on tenor saxophone by Mark Crooks, star of the John Wilson Orchestra, supported by Arnie Somogyi - double bass & George Double - drums
