Aqualung - the artist project of Grammy and Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter Matt Hales - returns to the Jazz Cafe for a special evening presented in two distinct sets.

The first set sees Hales offering his personal take on Pet Sounds, the iconic Beach Boys album that has long been a touchstone for him as a songwriter and arranger; while the second set turns to Aqualung’s own catalogue, drawing on a 20-year career of richly melodic, emotionally direct songwriting. Expect much-loved tracks such as Strange and Beautiful and Brighter Than Sunshine, alongside deeper cuts that reflect the project’s enduring appeal.

Alongside his solo work, Hales has also collaborated with artists including Olivia Dean, Lianne La Havas, Paloma Faith and Jason Mraz, bringing his distinctive musical sensibility to some of the past decade’s most recognisable songs.
