With her new album, Secular Hymns, released last autumn to critical acclaim and following a sold-out show in the 2016 EFG London Jazz Festival, one of today’s defining vocalists returns to London.

Performing in a stripped down trio setting that gives full rein to her ability to bring emotional depth and meaning to lyrics from a clutch of seminal songwriters, from Allen Toussaint, Willie Dixon and Sister Rosetta Tharpe to Antonio Carlos Jobim, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Tom Waits and Jacques Brel.

‘A balance of vulnerable humanity and meticulous skill - a great interpreter of a poetic lyric'  (*****The Guardian)

Pleased to announce John Etheridge will open the show. Pat Metheny called John ‘one of the best guitarists in the world’, but take away the famous names he’s played with, from Stephane Grappelli to Nigel Kennedy, turn off Soft Machine, and John’s solo concerts show a glorious guitarist who’s inspired by the trinity of Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery and Hank Marvin. Check out this video for a taste of what you can expect on the night.
