An evening with the Gipsy Kings & Chico
LONDON Southbank Centre / Royal Festival Hall
Thirty years after shaking the world with their massive hits Bamboleo, Djobi Djoba, Volare and more Gipsy Kings & Chico are back all on stage together with their full band of musicians.
Back in 1991 Chico left Gipsy Kings and formed his own band Chico and The Gypsies, touring the world to sell out concerts and releasing Albums including Chico and The Gypsies with friends which included Charles Aznavour, Nana Mouskouri, Kim Wilde amongst others which sold in excess of 250,000 copies.
On Saturday November 18th at The Royal Festival Hall after thirty years audiences will once again get the chance to experience live the thrill and passion of the sensational Gipsy Kings & Chico, with full band of musicians as they hit the stage.
Music that combines Chico’s north African roots with the rich traveling culture and its traditions that were transported from Catalonia to the Mediterranean regions of southern France in the 30s – music that embodies the passion, love and exuberance of the traditional gypsy way of life and loves - vibrant, and inclusive.
