One of the most in-demand drummers on the Scottish jazz scene, Stuart is a musician with a diverse range of interests. His recent work includes the critically acclaimed Twisted Toons (2009), a tribute to Raymond Scott, the musical genius behind early Warner Bros Cartoons and a commissioned collaboration with American composer/percussionist John Hollenbeck for the Edinburgh Jazz Festival. Stuart's duo with Damien Marchal features the unique instrumentation of drums and amplified computer printers.
