Scott Flanigan

Pianist and organist, Belfast

Belfast-based pianist and organist Scott Flanigan has performed with Van Morrison, Larry Coryell, Jean Toussaint, Jim Mullen and the Ulster Orchestra. 

He received a First Class Honours degree from Ulster University and an MA in jazz performance, also with First Class Honours, from Dublin Institute of Technology. His debut CD as a leader, Point Of Departure, was released in 2015, and he ran workshops at the esteemed Sligo Jazz Festival 2016 and 2017. 

His own trio features Neil O’Loghlen of Louis Stewart’s ensemble on bass, and drummer Steve Davis. His work has ben part of many live performances, including an Ulster Orchestra performance of an arrangement from his album, The Masterplan, as part of the May 2016 Derry Jazz Festival.
