Explores sound and abstract noise, developing extended uses of the saxophone, and involved with Silence Blossoms and punk free-jazz Trio Riot, as well as solo noise explorations and sound-art installations focussing on audience perception and interactivity. Has toured extensively and taken part in artist residencies in Manchester, Rome, Lausanne and Tokyo. Sam is also a founding member of EfpiRecords.
