Phil Bancroft is a constant challenger of the stereotypical jazz saxophonist/composer. Creating projects that are always original and often wild or wonderful he stands at the forefront of contemporary jazz in Scotland. A founding member of the seminal Trio AAB, his current projects include Small As The World which uses multimedia, live web link-ups and a cutting edge live band to examine where we consider 'home' in this world. Phil's contemporary jazz quartet Degrees of Freedom released a self-titled debut in 2011.
