As well as playing, composing and studying Celtic music, trumpeter Neil Yates lectures in jazz trumpet and improvisation. His Surroundings composition has been nominated in the jazz section of the 2011 British Composers Award and his new album, Five Countries, is due for release on Edition Records in November.
