Trained at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Boston USA, Martin is a mainstay of the Scottish jazz scene and founding member of the soul-funk outfit Groovediggaz. As composer and bandleader, Martin's most recent album releases include The Howness (2011) and Hero As Riddle (2010) – inspired by Scottish artist Eduardo Paolozzi. He can regularly be heard as first alto saxophone for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra (SNJO) and as a collaborator with the ground breaking trio Trianglehead.
